- Dr. Davis has worked extensively in the management of eyecare for over twenty – five years. He has spent time on both the Research/Development as well as the Clinical aspect of vision care. Dr. Davis has developed many contact lens designs as well as contact lens patents. Currently Dr. Davis is developing an Eye Care specialists practice outside Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Davis is past chair of the Contact Lens and Corneal section of the American Optometric Association and serves on the Industrial relation committee of the American Optometric Association. He is a Fellow and Diplomate in the American Academy of Optometry as well as serving as subchair of the membership renewal committee.
- Dr. Davis has published and lectured extensively on topics related to Contact Lenses, Eye Care and the management of eye disorders. He has served on the editorial boards of Optometric Management magazine, School Nurse News as well as an Advisory board member of the Head Start Health Service organization in Chicago. Dr. Davis has extended his experiences as a consultant to a variety of companies in the management of Eye Care and the development of novel visual device modalities. Presently he has received an unrestricted grant in researching, “Stabilizing Myopia by Accelerating Reshaping Technique”, The SMART Study.
- Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Iowa and received his optometric degree from Illinois college of Optometry.

Jeffery D. Gerson, O.D., F.A.A.O.

- Dr. Gerson has been in several practice settings since graduating from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1997. Before entering his current private practice, he was part of a retinal referral center where he not only saw patients, but was coordinator of several NEI clinical trials. Dr. Gerson lectures internationally and has had papers published in numerous optometric journals and other sources as well.
- Joseph J. Pizzimenti O.D., F.A.A.O.
- Associate Professor, Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry
- Dr. Pizzimenti received a Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 1989. He then completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Ocular Disease at the University of Houston. In 1990, he established Pizzimenti Eye Center in Elmwood Park, IL, specializing in Low Vision and Primary Care Optometry. Dr. Pizzimenti accepted a full-time faculty position at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Optometry in 1995, and he is currently an Associate professor there.
- Dr. Pizzimenti has completed funded clinical research in the areas of diabetes, age-related macular degeneration, and low vision. His scientific articles have appeared in Optometry and Vision Science, Pharmacotherapy, Optometry: Journal of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Education, The Diabetes Educator, Eye Care Review, The Internet Journal of Allied Health Science and Practice, Review of Optometry, Clinical and Experimental Optometry, and Sleep Medicine.
- Dr. Pizzimenti is a 20-year member of the American Optometric Association and currently chairs the Healthy Eyes Healthy People Committee of the Florida Optometric Association (FOA). He is a long-time Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the Optometric Retina Society, and is an internationally-recognized speaker on various topics in ocular and oculo-systemic disease.
- Dr. Pizzimenti resides in Boca Raton, FL, with his wife and three children.
- A. Paul Chous M.A., O.D., F.A.A.O.
- Dr. Paul Chous was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes mellitus at age five. He completed his undergraduate education at Brown University and UC Irvine, and then received his Masters and Doctorate of Optometry degrees with highest honors from UC Berkeley. Paul has a private practice specializing in diabetes eye care and education in Tacoma, WA.
- Dr. Chous won the American Diabetes Association’s Distinguished Public Service Award in 1998. He is the author of Diabetic Eye Disease: Lessons From a Diabetic Eye Doctor (Fairwood Press, Seattle, 2003), which was included in the “Top 12 Diabetes Books” by Diabetes Update magazine in 2004.
