ZeaVision Advisory Board
Robert L. Davis O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Davis has worked extensively in the management of eyecare for over twenty – five years. He
has spent time on both the Research/Development as well as the Clinical aspect of vision care. Dr. Davis has
developed many contact lens designs as well as contact lens patents. Currently Dr. Davis is developing an Eye
Care specialists practice outside Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Davis is past chair of the Contact Lens and Corneal
section of the American Optometric Association and serves on the Industrial relation committee of the American
Optometric Association. He is a Fellow and Diplomate in the American Academy of Optometry as well as serving
as subchair of the membership renewal committee.
Dr. Davis has published and lectured extensively on topics related to Contact Lenses, Eye Care and the
management of eye disorders. He has served on the editorial boards of Optometric Management magazine,
School Nurse News as well as an Advisory board member of the Head Start Health Service organization in
Chicago. Dr. Davis has extended his experiences as a consultant to a variety of companies in the
management of Eye Care and the development of novel visual device modalities. Presently he has
received an unrestricted grant in researching, “Stabilizing Myopia by Accelerating Reshaping
Technique”, The SMART Study.
Dr. Davis graduated from the University of Iowa and received his optometric degree from
Illinois college of Optometry.

N. Rex Ghormley, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Rex Ghormley is President of Vision Care Consultants in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a Fellow of the American
Academy of Optometry (President 1991-1992) and a Diplomat of the Academy’s Cornea & Contact Lens Section. Dr.
Ghormley is also a member of the Heart of America Contact Lens Society (President 1982). He is an adjunct Assistant
Professor at the University of Missouri – St. Louis School of Optometry and an adjunct Instructor, Department of
Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ghormley served as the team optometrist for the St. Louis Rams (NFL) and the University of Missouri Tigers.
The International Academy of Sports Vision has awarded him with the first Blanton Collier Award for excellence
in sports vision. Dr. Ghormley is currently the team optometrist for the St. Louis Blues (NHL).
Dr. Ghormley lectures at several Schools and Colleges of Optometry, as well as at state and regional meetings in
the USA. In addition, he participated in educational meetings in Europe, South America and in the Orient.
He was co-editor of ICLC (International Contact Lens Clinic) for over ten years, a columnist for Contact Lens
Spectrum for four years and is widely published in many USA and International journals. He has been a contributing
author in several contact lens books and in Ophthalmic Drug Facts.
Dr. Ghormley served on the corporate advisory boards of Allergan, AMO, Bausch & Lomb, Cooper Vision, Menicon,
Storz Pharmaceuticals, and Vistakon. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of CIBA Vision and ZeaVision.
Dr. Ghormley received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry where he
was selected as a Centennial Honoree during its centennial celebration. He was an officer in the Medical Service
Corps of the U.S. Navy for three years prior to entering into private practice.
His peers have recognized Dr. Ghormley by selecting him as the OD of the Year by Heart of America Contact Lens
Society. He received a Lifetime Achievement award from the St. Louis Optometric Society, an Achievement Award
from the Contact Lens & Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association, and he has been recognized as a
Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in Optometry.

Victor E. Malinovsky, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Victor Malinovsky is a clinical professor at Indiana University College of Optometry in Bloomington,
Indiana. He currently teaches Retinal Clinical Service - the development and coordination of retinal
service for advanced education and training of 4th-year students. In the Ophthalmic disease arena, Dr.
Malinovsky has held the position of Chief of Service at Indiana University since 1995, and is the primary
consultant to faculty and students on difficult ophthalmic disease patients.

Dr. Malinovsky sits on four administration and committee boards, including the Indiana Journal of Optometry
Editorial Board. He is on the Clinical Skills Committee (Chair 2002-2004) and acts as Examination Site
Coordinator. Dr. Malinovsky has been a source of referral for Journal of the American Optometric Association
since 1994 and a member of the IOA continuing education committee since 1998.
Dr. Malinovsky initiated an ocular disease residency to IU School of Optometry. He coordinated and
developed the residents clinical rotations, scheduled meetings and assigned reading materials throughout the year.
Dr. Malinovsky taught, and sat on several committees, at Ferris State University College of Optometry.
He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University. He continues to do research,
has published work in many leading journals and is an upstanding volunteer in his community, not only
for eye health, but also diabetes-related issues.
Dr. Malinovsky received Professor of the Year award (3rd-Year Class, School of Optometry) for 12 out of
the 18 years he has been teaching. His other awards include: Teaching Excellence Recognition Award,
President’s Award-Indiana University, Clinical Consultant of the Year and American Optometric Foundation:
The Michael G. Harris Family Award for Excellence in Optometric Education; 1st recipient.

Glenda B. Secor O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Secor is a 1978 graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry.
She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Diplomate of the Cornea and Contact
Lens Section and the current Immediate Past Chair of the Section on Cornea and Contact Lens.
Dr. Secor has also been active with the American Optometric Association, most recently serving
as the New Practitioner Practice Management Project Team Chair. Her honors include “Young OD
of the Year” from the California Optometric Association and “OD of the Year” from the Orange

County Society. Dr. Secor is in private practice in Huntington Beach, California. She has
been selected as a Distinguished Practitioner in Optometry for the National Academies of
Practice and was named one of the “50 Most Influential Women in Optical” in 2004 by Vision
Monday. She has been a clinical investigator for numerous manufacturers and has lectured,
edited, and published extensively.

Jack J. Yager O.D., F.A.A.O.
Doctor Jack Yager has been part of private practice since 1973 with Drs. Swanson,
Sowers, Lee & Yager, P.A., in Orlando, Florida, specializing in cornea and contact lenses. He
is the President and Office Administrator of his practice. He received his Doctor of Optometry
degree, and graduated with honors, from Ohio State University, where he was senior class president.
Dr. Yager is the current President of the American Association of Optometry where he has held
several officer-level positions. He is also a member and past president of the Florida chapter
of the AAO (1983-1999). Dr. Yager holds several professional appointments, including clinical
investigator for Allergan, Vistakon, CIBA Vision, Paragon and Johnson & Johnson. He sits on
the Gas Permeable Institute Board and Vistakon Speakers Bureau.
The Practice of Drs. Swanson, Sowers, Lee & Yager, P.A., was chosen one of the “Top Ten Contact
Lens Practices” in the United States by 20/20 Magazine in 1997, and was also selected as the
Small Business Partner for Central Florida by Partners in Education 1994. Dr. Yager was
selected Gas Permeable Practitioner of the Year 2003 by Contact Lens Manufacturers Association.
